Some of the engines used in these cars can reach speeds up to 200 miles per hour.
The most well known race is the Daytona 500 which is held in Daytona Beach, Florida. In February of 2009, Matt Kenseth won this race driving a Ford with an average speed of 132 miles per hour. The award was $1,536,388. In his racing career he has been awarded a total of $46,679,640. He runs a museum in his hometown of Cambridge, Wisconsin where you can see various racing memorabilia.
